Success to Significance
I have just begun work on an exciting new book tentatively titled Significance, which will be published by Collins in 2008. Significance will be a sequel to my 2005 release, The Power Years, which I wrote with co-author Ken Dychtwald. I am working with Ken on this new book as well. In The Power Years we explored many ways that most people can make the most of their life past the age of 45, including where and how to live and finding great ideas for recreation, lifelong learning and reconnecting with loved ones.

Significance will zero in on one aspect of this post-45 happiness model: how you can leave a legacy and find true fulfillment in the second half of life. In other words, how you can become significant; how you can make a difference in the world. I have found that Baby Boomers of all economic levels harbor a deep-seated desire to give something back. Those that do find an inner peace that can be elusive the first part of your life. Significance will be your model.

Be Interviewed
I am looking for ordinary people, experts and celebrities to interview for this new work. Those who take part may also be cited in TIME or Money magazine, or in work I do for any number of websites, including this one. If you have a compelling story to tell about how you found your calling, are working for the greater good, and are making a meaningful difference in the lives of people around you, I want to hear about it. Please email me at dankadlec@dankadlec.com

Other projects
I encourage all readers to check out the hot new web site at Minyanville.com, where I am the personal finance editor. This is a young, investment-oriented site with a unique take on the markets and finance. Our mission is to make money matters simple for everyone. We are building a special educational component suited to children as well as a comprehensive personal finance resource. One of my goals is to solicit experts, "professors" in the lingo of the site, who would like to weigh in with smart comment from time to time on things in the news that affect your wealth. If you're a credible financial planner, broker, adviser or otherwise knowledgeable about any area of personal finance, and interested, email me at dankadlec@dankadlec.com
